We are so pleased to introduce you to this stunning shop, Tathra Beach Designs located in a little seaside village on the NSW south coast called Tathra. This shop oozes seaside chill & sophistocation at the same time.
With clean lines, minimal palette and a select offering; this place is en pointe and a must visit if you are in this area of Australia.
We chatted to owner/curators Stacey & Linda, read the full interview below…
TELL US WHO YOU ARE & WHERE YOU ARE LOCATED
We’re a home and lifestyle boutique, located directly opposite the main beach in beautiful little Tathra, on the Sapphire Coast of NSW. Approximately a 5.5 hour drive down the coast from Sydney (and 2.5hrs from Canberra).
We’ve been open nearly 4 years.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT THAT AREA OF THE WORLD
Tathra is a relaxed, little coastal village with a lovely community vibe.
Known and loved for its pristine beaches and national parks, there are loads of isolated spots to escape to.
During summer here, Tathra is alive and buzzing with locals & visitors in holiday mode – we just love how they’re able to step straight off the beach after a swim, and into our store for a browse and a chat (sandy feet and salty skin are a must!).
WHAT KINDS OF PRODUCTS ARE AVAILABLE IN STORE
Right now our shop is filled with local art & jewellery, bleached elm furniture, butterfly chairs, linen bedding, ceramics, jute baskets, concrete lighting, natural skincare….a range of simple, beautiful items with a strong focus on Australian design & natural materials.
We’re proud stockists of some amazing Australian labels including In Bed linen, The Horse watches, The Seeke candles & skincare, and of course The Beach People roundie towels & accessories!
WHAT EXCITING THINGS ARE ON THE HORIZON
At the moment we’re planning some renovations to the shop next year, after the busy summer season. And we can’t wait to introduce to our customers some exciting new labels that have been in the pipeline.
WHAT’S INSPIRING YOU LATELY
Australian designers – there’s just so much talent out there! Almost every day we come across a new Australian designer creating an incredible product or designing an amazing space using natural materials – timbers, stone, concrete, marble & linens.
Thanks for sharing your shop with us Stace & Linda!
And thanks to the very talented photographer Angela Tarlinton for the photos
